Who is winning the next-gen war ?

Next generation of gaming is almost complete when all next-gen consoles are launched throughout the world. Offcourse Xbox 360 is there with a major headstart of a whole whopping year. (Is that why they are sponsering the whoppers from a major burgerbrand … hummmm). But the Nintendo Wii and the Playstation 3 are also launching… so the battle has finally begun. With this in mind, there is one site that seems to have all the info all marketeers are looking for: realtime marketshares. I hope they are accurate, but don’t blame me when they aren’t. COD3 or GoW ?

Well.. COD3 is out now… man that thing looks good. Plays good also. I have also been playing some Gears of War lately and I have to admit, that one is even better. As a matter of fact, these games really feel next gen to me. GoW could be the system seller though. That one really rocks and has the best press. The take up on that game is phenominal and I really hope it is going to kick Halo 2 ’s butt, because Halo 2 is getting old and slow. Time for the new era: time for GoW ! (and some COD3 btw… )

Add ‘NL’ to your gamertag (if you’re Dutch)

Ever tried to find some Dutchies on Xbox Live… and all you can find are some American kids playing the box? Just add NL to your gamertag and get recognized as the Dutchie you are. You can add ‘NL’ to your gamertag if you already have one. It will cost you some MS points though, but it’s worthed.

Last night: Game on !

Last night we had a stag night. Five guys with plenty of food and beer… and playing xbox. Now that are some ingredients for a fun night of gaming. We played Table Tennis on the 360 and after that we hooked up the good old xboxes on KAI and played Farcry Evo and DTM 3 all night, with some Fifa 06 on the side. That is one of the benefits of playing with 4 xboxes and a 360… We had some fun last night… and sorry for those finnish and german guys that joined our game in DTM3… we had some beers and got a little carried away. Well.. that happens when you’re having fun.

I will post when we are having another xbox night the next time… so you can join if you want to… (shout out to our Italian friends joining in the fun… next time with headset )
